The unit is as follows from the ground up:
foot: 2" steel c-channel, basically a 24" square with some cross beams that attach to the post
post: 5x5" 3/16" wall square tube, currently at a height of 36", but will be adjusted before final welds
table: 3/8 plate @ 16x16" square
kally: bolted to plate a few inches back from the front edge
motor: 2.5 hp DC with speed controller (potentiometer knob... maybe a foot pedal addition one day)
The drive belt will come through the table to meet the pulley on the kally with a housing covering the mechanics.
This allows the motor to be directly under the table in its own housing (hopefully reducing the dust the motor magnets will want to collect)
