Overkill is always good. Abundant overkill is perfect.
What does the base of your Kally look like? Are you mounting a motor and VFD as well?
I built the stand for my first 2x72, a Coote, from heavy steel, and it has been perfect. It doesn't look overbuilt at all. That's the minimalist beauty of heavy steel.
I couldn't ask for more. Small footprint, absolute stability, super simple.
I'll see if I can get pictures onto the forum, but it may take a while. My computer engineer and marketing specialist is specializing is at a Chamber of Commerce activity for Reich Precision. She should be home by 5.
I'm not slacking, just needed a bite before I get back to grinding knives. Maybe I'll take some pictures of that too.
