shaving sharp
#1
Earlier this week I had a minor heart attack. I give high marks to all of the capable and friendly people who cared for me.

My one regret is that I was not carrying a hair popping sharp pocket knife with me. The most painful part was when all the adhesive contact tapes for the monitoring were pulled off. I wish I had shaved all my chest and arm hair.

A more practical solution would have been for the medical staff to have offered to shave it early in the procedures.

Ken

ps All is well. I was given a clean bill of health.

Whaaaaat?!! Whaasup   Sure am glad you're OK, Mr. Ken.

I guess your nonchalance is a good sign that it wasn't too concerning for you. I didn't know heart attacks were secondary to carrying a shaving sharp knife, but if you say so....

I would certainly agree that carrying a razor sharp blade is mandatory. A guy never knows when he might need to do a little shaving or open heart surgery or whatever.

FYI, M390, S35VN and S30V are all highly corrosion resistant, and capable of holding a very fine edge for a long time, as long as you don't use them much.

I just checked a couple of my knives that have EdgePro polished edges. I haven't touched up either one in years, but they're both holding < BESS 60.

I will bust out the EP and freshen all my polished edges in joy of your continued health, Mr. Ken.

Good to hear that you are ok my friend. Take care - and allways carry hot wax with you in the future so that you can remove chest hair...

Last time I should check my heart as you did I ask them to work with care and try to save the hair on my chest. They look at my chest and say "but - you have no hair on your chest" i proudly pointed out the only hair I had (1) and take my pencil and made a ring around it and say " real men have hair on their chest".

Ahh the good old days Thomas! When men were men. We particularly appreciate the spear through the foot. That kept the guy in one place so that the balance of his assailant's arsenal could be brought to bear in a more leisurely fashion. Thank you for the the drawing and it is interesting but difficult to think about. So we won't.

I think that the spear in the foot is a sort of early acupuncture for better health. Today they use needles for this and they do not give any pain at all. Spears hurts a little - but people all over the world accept some pain to look beutiful.
I think he is in for a facelift also...Wink
