I tested that type. They are "slippery" = the blade can move...
The magnets I use are expensive and good. There is a holder, a plastic ring and the magnet. The plastic ring center the magnet perfect - and all magnets are mounted in exact position in the holder = all magnets have the same height - and THAT is important
Cheaper magnets and cheap holders do not have the same heights the magnets are not centered, the magnets are often not even glued in to the holder - and sonen,mand so on,mand so on. I have tested a lot of magnets...
IF you by cheap magnets - the blade WILL move during the sharpening process.. And you will not like that.
