Hey guys, Garry sent me an update regarding the addition of the tracking screws to the bottom of the yolk, and it makes sense to me.
Garry was able to get his tracking adjusted so perfectly that he ended up replacing the springs on the screws with nuts, to lock the screws in place.
He says once you get them set right, you won't have to adjust them again!
I spoke to Mr. Rupert about it, and I believe this is a solid suggestion.
My Viel is dedicated to one leather belt (always on top of a stiff belt, to avoid stretching the leather), so it's a non-issue for me, although I'm still going to do it. Sure seems like it's worth the minuscule investment.
