Thanks for the info, Mark. I have the same leather belt cleaning question as Grepper.

(That reminds me, yesterday evening I put my Scotch-Brite belt in a tub of hot water and Dawn detergent. I must remember to retrieve it this morning. I saw this technique on a youtube, and will report the result.)
