Yup. Crowns of laurel, bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths are in order. 'Em are some damn sharp edges!
Interesting that we would never have been able to enjoy this if it were not for EOU sharpness testing instruments.

Today Nathan has beaten his own record of sharpness, showing us the sharpest knife in Australia.
Congratulations on all-Australian record, Nathan! Yours is officially the sharpest knife ever tested in Australia.
For those who haven't gotten the pleasure of knowing Nathan personally, he is the Sydney Sharpest Knife Contest winner in non-kitchen knives category

I really don't know how they do it. I've fiddled with knife blades for hours and always hit a wall somewhere around 70 or 80. Tell your friends in Australia congratulations from somebody here in the bush leagues.

Thanks for the ad guys (I'm Nathan).
It's been a blast seeing what can be achieved with sharpness. These BESS testers really do help refine the little things.

Ain't that the truth Mr. NJMS? When I first got my tester I was stuck somewhere in the 200's. Embarrassed to say exactly where in the 200's. I'm a easy hundred+ points better than that now and I get there much faster now than before. Its just a great tool. Turned me into a sharpener although I'd still have to carry your bags into the hotel for you. And happy to do it!

Thanks NJMS and Bud. In this case the credit goes to KnifeGrinders. KnifeGrinders has put edge sharpness testing on the map in Australia/New Zealand via his diligence with detail and efforts to improve the knowledge base of sharpeners. The several edge sharpness contests that he has conducted in Australia in conjunction with Australian Knife Magazine would be just one example of those efforts. Hats off to Nathan for this accomplishment, to KnifeGrinders for introducing us to Nathan and to Bud...we'd carry your suitcases anywhere you'd like.
