What are the regulations for the Sharpest Blade contest?

I believe I could talk to all the right people about doing this at the Blade Show in Atlanta....

Thank you gents!
All merits go to the Australian Knife Magazine team.
As you would expect, they attend every significant knife show, and since the idea of a sharpness contest by BESS edge sharpness tester came to the AKM publisher and editor Michael Masion we at Knife Grinders just watch open-mouthed it spreading quickly across the country.

Of the 5 major Australian capital cities with population over 1 million, Knife Shows are held in 3, and in all 3 the Sharpest Knife Contest is becoming an annual event: Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. 
Of the remaining 2, Perth starts its knife shows next year with the Sharpest Knife contest being a part of it, and Brisbane is being negotiated.

Mark, rules slightly differ from city to city, as does the major prize, for the Sydney contest that Knife Grinders run together with the AKM:

If you can arrange for one in Atlanta you won't ever regret - such a good fun, excitement, enlightening and publicity, comparable only to the knife show itself.
Knife Show organizers keep looking around for fresh entertaining ideas, and readily support the sharpness contest.

Hmm. Very interesting. I think you're right, Mr. KG. It would be fun and interesting for all.

The rules are pretty wide open at this time.

I know all the guys who make guided sharpeners who show up at Blade every year. Ben Dale does not have a representative for his Edge Pro, so I think it would be pretty difficult to beat Clay Allison.

How did the winner sharpen his knife?
